Patients with type 1 diabetes (n = 61) were excluded, and the remaining patients (n = 6336) were separated into subgroups of patients having type 2 diabetes and those not having diabetes, and then further sorted into patients having any or no AR lens opacity. The overall prevalence (%) of any AR cataract was determined for patients with type 2 diabetes and without diabetes.
